Pelvic Balancing

During pregnancy many women feel pain, discomfort or tension within the pelvis. Though this is common, it doesn’t have to be accepted as normal! These feelings are our body’s way of telling us there is an imbalance somewhere in the soft tissues. Imbalances in the pelvis can often lead to babies being uncomfortable and in a difficult position for labour & birth. It also makes it more challenging for them to navigate the path to freedom during birth, leading to a higher chance of a prolonged & painful labour, but also medical interventions.

Preparing the body with pelvic balancing may assist with relieving pain and discomfort in pregnancy, increasing space in the pelvis for baby to find their optimum position and increasing women’s knowledge of their bodies.

As a Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner, I follow the principles of “Physiology before Force” and “easier birth fetal positioning.”
